5 - Why should I hire a Wedding Planner?

Most couples these days are working professionals and are simply too busy to plan a wedding day with it’s many details. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and stressful when you do not have the time that is needed to put into it. Your wedding is such an important – and expensive – event in your life: it makes sense to hire a professional to assist you during the process.

6 - Where do i start with the wedding legal bits?

The first thing is to decide whether to do this in Portugal wedding destination or your home country. It is possible to legally marry in Portugal, but there is quite a bit of paperwork to go through and translate and so I would advise you use the services of someone here that can help. We can recommend people. What most couple’s do however is getting all the legalities done at home and then come here for the wedding Portugal.

7 - Which side of the Bride should her father walk her down the aisle?

The father walks to the Brides right. The best way to remember this is to think of the old legend…. when the father walks down the aisle he needs his right hand free, to hold his sword, as he is protecting his daughter!

8 - Which way round do the Bride and Groom stand?

The Groom is on the Brides right. In the same way as for her father, the Groom needs his right hand free to hold his sword to protect her! After the ceremony, you both turn to walk back down the aisle…. the Grooms right hand is then free to hold his wife’s hand!

9 - Where do the bridesmaids and best man stand?

There are lots of options.  They can stand throughout the Ceremony, either side of the Bride and Groom or they can sit in the front row.  There are no rules we need to follow.  What every you think will work for your perfect wedding day.

10 - How early should I send wedding invites, when the most part of the guests will be coming out of town, to give them time to get the lowest airfares? Also, how should i handle reserving hotel rooms for these guests?

The best thing to do if you're marrying far away from where most of your guests live is to send out save-the-date cards notices that include your wedding date and wedding venue location. This "card" can be as simple as a letter from you both. Then send the accommodations and travel information in a separate mailing about four months before the wedding day.

11 - I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

If you don’t choose any of our Portugal wedding packages that include stay or if you have more guests that our wedding Quinta can handle it, we suggest hotels nearby that you can select according to your possibilities.

12 - What wedding invitation style should i choose?

An invitation can be very simple or ornate. The wedding invitation styles depending factors include your budget and your personal taste and style. Also keep in mind, your wedding invitation will give guests an idea of what kind of wedding to expect.

13 - what do we do if there is bad weather on the wedding day?

We recommend that every couple develop a weather contingency plan if you are getting married in this outside venue. The contingency plan can be an indoor location. It is also important to know that almost all musicians would be unable to play their instruments in any kind of inclement weather, making a weather contingency plan even more important to your wedding planning in this exclusive wedding venue.

14 - How do get to our wedding venue?

You have all the location information you need at our location page.

15 - Where should i park? Will i have to pay for parking?

We have a private park inside of the Quinta’s property.

16 - What if i have a dietary restriction?

No problem. We can reorder and adapt the wedding menu according to your preferences.

17 - Are kids welcome in the wedding venue?

The answer is a clear “yes”. Children aren´t just welcome at our wedding venue, we want them to enjoy every minute!

We can also arrange a good place for children to paddle with babysitter supervision or a place where babies can rest during the event also with babysitting on request.

18 -  What kind of weather does Portugal wedding destination have?

We get this question a lot. Portugal enjoys one of the most stable climates in the world with its moderate and kind weather influenced by the sea. Temperatures in the summer months from May to August can reach as high as 30°C. However, winds tend to keep the temperatures down a little with coastal breezes.

This magnificent holiday Country is defined by the sea with asublime climatic conditions and temperatures moderated by the Atlantic Ocean, never too cold and never too hot. Always just right, with a nice ocean breeze.

During the spring and autumn months from March to October the temperatures in Portugal average a pleasant 17°C to 19°C and this is accompanied with plenty of sunshine. The winter from November to February remains moderate and mild with bright sunny days and the temperature during this period stands around 15°C.

19 - Does your outside venue have a noise restriction?

No.
